SIAVONGA CENTRAL CHURCH PRAYS FOR GAS ATTACKS
Seventh-day Adventist church (SDA) in Siavonga district on 22nd February, 2020 joined the rest of churches in the country for prayers and fasting following the continued gassing of innocent people.
SDA church Siavonga mission district Pastor, Pastor Renox .C Mweemba says the church is saddened with the prevailing situation in the country.
Pastor Mweemba says government should work with the church as it tries to address the problem.
He says the battle is spiritual hence the need to involve the church.
Pastor Mweemba has also dispelled allegation from the sections of the society that the participation of the church in prayers and fasting is a call worship to the mark of the beast.
Pastor Mweemba also told the Communication department that Zambians should not take the law into their own hands but let the police to do their job.
Meanwhile, Siavonga central SDA church administrator Elder Sailon Haatongo said the atrocities happening in the country are embarrassing especially that Zambia is known for its peaceful nature.
He has called on all Christians to continue praying for the country for peace to be restored and put masterminds of the disturbances to shame.

Elder Haatongo says the church cannot afford to sit idle while citizens continue killing one another unceremoniously.
